About Us
Ernando Castro is the founder of Miranda Bread and the driving force behind its growth since opening the first location in Worcester, MA, in 2002. A Brazilian immigrant who arrived in the United States more than 30 years ago, he built the business with the vision of creating a welcoming padaria-style café that delivers authentic Brazilian flavors, quality food, and warm customer service. What began as a humble bakery on Shrewsbury Street has grown into multiple locations and a production facility, always rooted in Brazilian culture, community values, and a commitment to making every guest feel at home.

Miranda is a charming Brazilian spot with a unique atmosphere. Although the staff didn’t speak English, they were incredibly helpful, and I was able to order the Miranda breakfast sandwich, which I absolutely loved. The flavors were authentic and delicious—definitely a memorable experience!

This place looks a little underwhelming and slightly run down from the outside, but please don't let the exterior dissuade you. The interior is modern, clean and the Brazilian food inside looks and tasted amazing. I had the mixtos special sandwich. It was huge.. it had a whole chicken cutlet, ham, bacon, a poached egg and lovely gooey melted cheese on top. And to add some texture they add potato sticks and corn. It was ready in about 8 minutes. And I loved the combo. The prices are reasonable and I skipped my lunch after eating this sandwich! Give this place a try. The bakery was happening too and I bought a few chocolate covered cream puffs to go.

Best breakfast and lunch selections! Miranda Bread is a must visit. The hamburgers are huge and delicious. The smaller items are sufficient for a quick breakfast or lunch. The desserts and cakes are always just right.

Super friendly waitstaff, even one hour before close. Our acai bowl was one of my top 10 best, for sure! Definitely a great place for a relaxing snack at a reasonable price, in a busy, expensive city. And, it was an easy walk from the T Commuter Rail Station. Highly recommend!

One of the best Cheese burgers I've had from a restaurant ($15). Fresh juices($3) and a meat pocket ($4) that i forgot the name of. Great atmosphere and staff really nice. They have cakes and desserts as well. Definitely recommended!!!

They have a great selection of Brazilian pastries and desserts and the quality is excellent. I love the grape surprise pot cake it’s creamy and delicious, Coxinhas (Cousheenas) are the best ones in the area. Even the coffee is really good. I love their Latte. Give yourself a try, I guarantee you won’t get disappointed.

This place has the best cheese bread, ham and cheese and coffee! They also have really good baked treats like carrot cake and orange cake. They’re always super friendly and it’s always clean and quick service!

So tasty and I got to try Brazilian Couscous with season chicken and “Little Beak Peppers.” So tasty! If I were making myself, I would use a sharp cheddar cheese, just for a bit more kick from the cheese, but the chicken and peppers were delicious.
I also tried what I am told, if I’m writing this correctly, is Ninho com Geleia De Moro Ngo. It tasted like red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting and a layer of blueberries!!! I love the idea of berries in a cake!!! Mmmm.
Plenty of parking.
There are 5 stairs so it is not accessible but I’m sure you could order and ask for food to be brought down the stairs.
I hope to come again!

I am originally from Wisconsin. Whenever I visit Massachusetts with my significant other, we always get the coxinhas ✨️ We enjoy these every time. It's just so filling! Quick, and easy snack. Definitely recommend 👌

I bought a small coffee and a ham, egg and cheese sandwich. Very economical, very good, the cheese has great flavor and the egg is seasoned. Forget over paying at DDs, come here!

Comida com gostinho de casa. Indicação pessoal: porção de picanha na chapa com acompanhamentos… melhor custo benefício para comer bem e gostoso.

This place has quickly become my new favorite lunch spot. Decided to try it based on a simple ham and cheese sandwich, but when I discovered that they also have rice and beans, I was hooked. Trying new things every time I go and have enjoyed everything so far. The meats are very tasty and perfectly cooked. I try to stay away from the desserts because I'm trying to limit my sugar, but they always look very tempting 🤤
The only thing I would say is that sometimes the juice behind the counter can be a little watery, and the guava rosca filling isn't always evenly distributed, but thats not enough for me to stop coming here because I consider it much better than all the options around me. The ladies there are nice and they help me with the language barrier whenever possible. It would help if they labeled the things in the case or listed the ingredients. Sometimes I don't know if things are salty or sweet l, so it keeps me from buying more stuff if it's busy and I don't wanna hold up the line 🫣
I highly recommend this place for good food at reasonable prices 🙌🏼✨
